Why visitTakasakiya Shoten
Said to have been founded during the Horeki era (1751-1764) of the Edo period, this long-established sake shop stands across from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Agriculture. Its 260-plus years of historical records, including ward-designated cultural assets, are preserved at the Bunkyo Furusato History Museum. Today it sells wine, sake, and imported beer.
