Why visitAji no Hamato
The business traces back to founder Fumi Moriguchi, who came to Tokyo from Fukuoka and began selling whale products before taking on the "Hamato" name from his wife's family business around 1925. The Tsukiji shop still follows a no-synthetic-additive policy for its grilled eel and miso-marinated fish.
