Founded in the early Meiji era over 130 years ago, Uoyone began as a shoulder-pole peddler before opening its shop on Torigoe's Okazu Yokocho shopping street. It sells fresh fish, sashimi, and grilled fish, and its fifth-generation owner chairs the local shopping street association.
