Taruichi's founder started the business in Takadanobaba before opening this Kabukicho location in 1974. Known for whale dishes, Sanriku-region seafood, and Miyagi's Urakasumi sake, the izakaya relocated within Kabukicho after the 2011 earthquake and continues to operate at its current address.
