Founded in 1951 as a specialist maker of karinto (fried dough snacks), the company moved its factory to Nakamaru-cho, Itabashi in 1958 and has kept making its simple, traditional karinto ever since. Its brown-sugar karinto won the ward's "Itabashi no Ippin" citizens' award.
