Why visitKamebishiya
Founded in 1753 in Hiketa, Kamebishiya is the only brewery in Japan still making soy sauce with the traditional mushiro-koji method, fermenting wheat and soybeans on straw mats. Its red-walled buildings are registered national Tangible Cultural Properties, and visitors can tour the moromi warehouses and try soy sauce making.
