Why visitKadocho
Founded in 1841 in Yuasa, the birthplace of Japanese soy sauce, Kadocho still brews shoyu by hand in Edo-period buildings using cedar vats and cold-season fermentation. Visitors can tour its soy sauce museum and craftsmen's warehouse, and buy traditional brews on site.
