Founded in 1914 by Kikutaro Iida in Nihonbashi Hakozaki-cho, near the old fish market, the shop relocated to Tsukiji after the Great Kanto Earthquake. It has since specialized in long-keeping preserved foods such as tsukudani, side dishes, and furikake at the outer market.
