Why visitAsanoya Honpo
Founded in 1752 when Asano Izaemon began selling kuzumochi at the gate of Ikegami Honmonji temple. The shop still uses a traditional method of fermenting wheat starch for over a year before steaming, now run by the 12th-generation owner.
