Founded in 1853 in the samurai town of Kakunodate, Ando Jyozo has brewed additive-free, naturally fermented miso and soy sauce for over 170 years. Its Meiji-era brick storehouse parlor is a designated cultural property, and visitors can shop at the historic main store while viewing the building.
